VanCr.in ("VanCr", "we", "us") operates the e-commerce website at https://www.vancr.in. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect from visitors and customers, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you consent to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: username, email address, phone number, password (stored only as a salted hash).
- Order data: billing and shipping address, the items you order, order amount, order status.
- Payment data: processed entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or net-banking credentials. We only receive a payment reference and success/failure status.
- Communications: emails you send us (e.g. support@vancr.in) and product reviews you submit.
- Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent, pages visited, and a session cookie used to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
- To create and manage your account and process your orders.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and respond to support requests.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents (rate limiting, login monitoring).
- To comply with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations under Indian law.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
3. Who we share it with
- Razorpay – payment processing (see razorpay.com/privacy).
- Shipping partners – name, address, and phone number, only as needed to deliver your order.
- Microsoft Azure – hosting and database infrastructure (India region).
- Law enforcement / regulators – only when required by valid legal process.
4. Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie (session) to keep you signed in and remember your cart. It is marked Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; doing so will sign you out and empty your cart.
5. Children's privacy
VanCr sells children's apparel but the buyers are adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. Accounts and orders must be created by a parent or legal guardian.
6. Data retention
We retain account and order records for as long as your account is active, and for up to 8 years thereafter to satisfy Indian tax and accounting requirements. You can request deletion of your account at any time; we will then anonymise or remove personal data that we are not legally required to retain.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Passwords are stored using bcrypt. All form submissions are CSRF-protected, login attempts are rate-limited, and a strict Content Security Policy is enforced. Despite reasonable safeguards, no online service is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete the personal information in your account from the Profile page, or by writing to support@vancr.in. We respond within 30 days.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will post the new policy here and update the "last updated" date above.
